Studio
Myerscough
Apr 2005 – Sept 2005
Graphic Designer
After working at the Michael Nash Associates, I was the
graphic designer for the highbrow exhibition design studio. I worked on a number
of projects, most notably literature for the V&A and luxury packaging for
Wedgwood.
Studio Myerscough provided a fascinating insight into exhibition design, and
how very small studios operate.
The studio itself produced work for very select
and highbrow clients, and it was an immense
pleasure to work on such projects with like-minded
designers and individuals.

Graphic Designer –Inhouse Design Team
I currently work inhouse at Christie’s, where I
work on
a wide range of printed-based projects for
all areas of the auction house’s business.
This can vary from exhibition literature and monthly sales publications, to
invitations and advertising campaigns. My role also includes art directing lifestyle
photo shoots for the front covers
of a variety of Christie’s magazines and publications.
The
London Paper
Dec 2008 – Sept 2009 (until its closure)
Graphic Designer
Working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment alongside
writers and editors, I was responsible for designing the feature pages of The
London Paper to a strict and daily deadline – often with seconds left
on the clock.
The free sheet was an upbeat paper which celebrated London, and its fresh and
friendly design set it apart from its competitors. I gained invaluable editorial
design skills and working methods whilst truely learning on the job.

Graphic Designer – Proposals Department
I joined Christie’s in 2006 as a graphic designer
in
the Proposals Department, where I designed highbrow business documents aimed
to win works of art in excess of £1m for the company to sell.
I was responsible for design and print production,
and worked to the tightest of deadlines. It was my responsibility too for commissioning
and directing photography for Christie’s London

Nash Associates
Sept 2003 – Sept 2004
Graphic Designer
I worked for the renowned design studio, designing record
sleeves and identities and packaging for fashion houses and luxury goods labels.
The Michael.Nash Associates was a fantastic first job and an excellent introduction
into the design world. Perhaps most importantly, it encouraged me to source
and make sensitive decisions on materials and print finishes to produce highly
tactile and alluring work.
